Uevekoven belongs to the parish of St. Peter and Paul in Wegberg. The chapel, located in the center of the town, was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1903/04 according to plans by the cathedral builder Franz Statz from Cologne. A roof turret rises above the brick chapel with three window axes and a vestibule.
The old Uevekoven chapel, built in 1682, was expanded and enlarged in 1785. It was in the same location, was significantly smaller and also made of brick and with a roof turret. A legacy formed the basis for its construction. As with many other church buildings of the past, the construction costs were largely covered by voluntary contributions from the local population.
