The Cucq church is the oldest in the parish.

It is the only one that is “oriented”, that is to say, turned towards the East, like most old churches; the East symbolizes Christ “rising sun” who came to illuminate the crowds of people. Around the church is the old cemetery; etymologically, the cemetery is the resting place; it is not the necropolis, the city of the dead, because the Christian waits to participate in the resurrection of Christ. The church could date from the 16th century, as evidenced by a stone in the nave with the date 1534. The building was rebuilt after a collapse in the 19th century. Later, the bell tower, initially in the middle of the church, would be moved to the front. The work was completed in 1934.
