The complex with seven thatched-roof residential buildings and 24 apartments was built in 1936/1937 for employees of the Glinde Army Ordnance Office in the style of an estate.
The former thatched-roof settlement "Negerdorf" was taken over by the building cooperative of free trade unionists eG (BGFG) from Hamburg in 2003 and renamed "Siedlung Oher Weg" in 2015.
