Our airfield is very easily accessible. It is very well located and therefore easy to find. Coming from Hamburg, drive via Buxtehude, Horneburg, then take the A26 motorway to the exit towards Ottenbeck. At a roundabout with the B73, the road (K30) continues straight ahead for about 500m to the turnoff to the airfield. To reach the model aircraft park, turn right at the end of the wooded path (signposted "Modellflugsport"). Caution: The path is not particularly well-maintained. A lovely hike can also be enjoyed here.

Stade Airfield, originally a Nazi airbase, served the British military government after World War II and later as a barracks for the German Armed Forces. Civil aviation began in the 1950s with the Stade Aviation Association (LSV Stade), and the aircraft industry settled on the site, which today includes the Airbus site. Today, more than 260 members in the three disciplines of motorized flight, gliding, and model aircraft ensure that Stade is accessible by air.
