This photo looks up at the descent on the west side of Mt. Thabor. The first part of the descent contains (very) dangerous segments for inexperienced hikers. Steep sections with snow, hardly any path. Lots of loose sand and gravel. Poles and experience essential. After the first steep descent you go down the other side of the mountain. Here follows a less dangerous, but still challenging 'path' over loose rocks. Also parts through snow but fairly flat. The photo shows the rock descent.
