the kora is the buddhist pilgrimage around the Ganden monastery, one of the largest Gelugpa (yellow cap) monasteries. on the route the pilgrims perform the tiring prostrations taking about 5 hours to complete it all.
the path is well paved. about halfway there is a fork that leads to the "sky burials" but from there you have to go back up a short mountain path.
