The menhir of Terrazzu or Luxia Arrabiosa is located not far from the town of Villaperuccio, in an agricultural area near the confluence of two rivers.
The territory has at least fifteen hard stone menhirs variously located, as well as numerous testimonies of the presence of man in the Neolithic including the beautiful necropolis of Domus de Janas of Montessu.
Although mutilated by lightning, the Terrazzu menhir is the most imposing example of a menhir in the territory, with a height that exceeds 5 meters. It has a flat main face facing south-east and a semi-convex opposite face with rounded edges, thus approaching the pattern of proto-anthropomorphic menhirs.
One of the names by which it is known, Luxia Arrabiosa (furious Lucia), refers to the protagonist of ancient Sardinian legends. She is often depicted as a woman or a giantess who, angry at a wrong she has suffered, forcefully throws an object that sticks in the ground and turns to stone.
