Hiking

Dominating the Marcadau cirque from its 3005 meters, the Grande Fache, a stone sentinel, defies the Pyrenees. At its summit, the scene of a miracle in 1941, stands a small statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. Lower down at the refuge, a chapel was also built at the end of the 1950s. Every year, the survival of Maïté Chevalier is celebrated there, considered miraculous. All those who have disappeared from our mountains are also honored.
