The railway line of the Görlitzer Bahn between Görlitzer Park (Görlitzer Bahnhof) and the Ringbahn was released by the Federal Railway Authority in 2012. From the Görlitz train station to Elsenstrasse in Treptow, you can walk wonderfully on the former railway embankment. The route runs on a lightly graveled path and on natural ground in the byways.
A beautiful green band and the old railway bridges lead across cross streets. However, large puddles form on the bridge over the canal when it rains.
