The St. Maternus Chapel on Kapellenstrasse in Sierscheid, built around 1730, is a simple single-nave building with an irregular three-sided eastern end. The chapel was renovated in 1830 and blessed on May 7, 1831. From then on, a holy mass was usually said in the chapel once a month. The church was renovated inside in 1964 and outside in 1965. The roof covering was replaced in 1981. The last renovation to date was carried out by volunteers in 2004/2005.
