Road cycling
The Schifflersgrund Border Museum opened on October 3, 1991. It is one of the oldest border museums in Germany. In the following years, further exhibits were acquired, including original border control booths from the spring of 1990 and a variety of vehicles and helicopters.

You drive along the patrol road, the high, gray border fence to your right, the death strip in between, the NVA bunker in the valley, and the border tower on the opposite hill.
The border has been open for 30 years now, but this oppressive feeling still lingers.
