Hiking

The abandoned by the damming of the Great Brombachsees mill was bought by the Free State of Bavaria and is used by the Water Department Ansbach as an information center "Franconian Lake District". The mill was the only one in Brombachtal not broken off. The place is seat of the Seemeisterstelle. (Wikipedia)

40 years ago there were many quarry ponds and as a teenager there was almost always a meeting place for swimming nearby. You could drive forever through the sand area from mill to mill and from quarry lake to quarry lake.
