Hiking Highlight
At 3,098 meters above sea level, Mont Buet offers an incredible panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif, the Aiguilles Rouges and Haut-Giffre. Mont Buet is nicknamed "Mont Blanc des Dames" in homage to the sisters Mary and Elizabeth Parminter who reached the summit in 1786.

The ascent of Buet is indeed a magnificent hike, and I recommend it to trained athletes (altitude difference 1500 m), but NOT AT ALL ACCESSIBLE when hiking at this time! The snow holds on the Buet until at least JULY. And even the Pierre à Berard refuge is not currently accessible without mountain equipment.
Today's weather forecast announces 15 to 20 cm of snow for the day!

On the Mont Buet you are directly opposite the Mont Blanc with a good view of this. From Refuge de la Pierre a Berard you need about 3 hours to reach the summit.
