Cycling

The sources of the river are located at a place called “de Birven” to the east of the Walloon commune of Aubel, near the American military cemetery of Henri-Chapelle. The river then flows through the localities of Mortroux, Bombaye, Dalhem and Berneau, until its confluence with the Meuse at Mouland.
The river is the main watercourse of the Pays de Herve. Its valley is notably home to the Val-Dieu Abbey.
