There are many legends about Venus bowls. One says that the bowls of Venus have magical powers - a woman sitting in one of the stone bowls is said to be married and pregnant within a year. Another legend tells of a fairy-tale people called Venus who supposedly live here. Described as good-natured and friendly and slightly larger than dwarves, these creatures are said to bathe, cook and wash in stone bowls at night. They then help lost pilgrims find the right way. The women of this people are said to be of extraordinary beauty.
