A wooden bridge was built over the Tauber in 1716, but was destroyed by flooding. In 1733 a massive natural stone bridge with six arches was built according to the design by Balthasar Neumann.

The marking is correct in that respect.
It is not directly on the bridge but a few centimeters away in the Tauber.
But it is a very nice place to linger. The Hirschen country inn is right next to the bridge.
From the beer garden you can watch what is happening on the Tauber and the bridge very well, as well as from the completely redesigned guest rooms. Beautiful panoramic windows overlooking the Tauber and the bridge.
Also great as a starting point for tours in all directions into the beautiful Tauber valley.

It's always worth taking a little break to watch fish from there or to take a photo.
