The Place Jacques Félix, originally called Place du Sépulcre, is one of the secondary squares that structure the neighborhoods of Charleville. Carlo Gonzaga encouraged the Sépulcre nuns who educated young girls to settle there. The order can be recognized by the crosses with double crossbeams on the facades. After the French Revolution, this monastery housed the central school, now the lower secondary school, the library and then the normal school for teachers and the small seminary. The young Arthur Rimbaud went to school here between 1865 and 1870. He is a brilliant student, but has a strong personality.
