This exciting portion of the Devils Garden Trail takes you up on top of one of the many fins in the area. After scrambling up a low angle step, you gain the spine of a large fin and run across its narrow and exposed ridge line with steep drop offs on either side. There are a few moments along the top of the fin where you need scramble up or down using your hands and feet, or complete a step across a gap.This unique portion of the trail is exposed, exciting, incredibly scenic, and photo opportunities appear with nearly every step. This section often slows down hikers and due to the terrain, it can be almost impossible to pass them. As you wait, or are forced to walk a bit, take it as an opportunity to admire the truly unique nature of the trail and snap some photos!
