The sculptor and painter, master student of Prof. Peter Dreher at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe, dedicated his fountain to the citizens of the Karlsruhe district who are nicknamed 'Schlaucher'. The term may come from the fact that the people of Daxland chose a wind-protected hollow, a 'sluch' (hose), when the village was founded. The fountain consists of a small, male figure with a large fish and reliefs that show people doing various jobs.
