  • The Schlosspark Lütetsburg was designed at the beginning of the 18th century in the style of the Dutch Baroque and according to the zeitgeist of the time a small-scale parceling up. By the end of the 18th century he had fallen desolate. Edzard Mauritz Freiherr von Inn- and Knyphausen had him rebuilt in the years 1790-1813 by the Oldenburg court gardener Carl Ferdinand Bosse. According to his plans, the largest private English landscape garden in northern Germany was created on the approximately 30 hectare site. Clearly the plant is to be viewed in the second half of the 18th century as a turn towards Romanticism in the sense of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. It is one of the few preserved on the continent examples of this early romantic garden type.
