Hiking

De Pluimpot is a fairly small nature reserve with a very big history. De Pluimpot is the last trace of the channel that cut the island of Tholen in two until 1556. It is now a dammed estuary that serves as a high-water refuge and breeding area for shorebirds. Recreational enthusiasts and bird watchers can also get their money's worth here. It is clearly visible thanks to the marked path constructed by Staatsbosbeheer.
