Hiking
The lime kiln was an ancient kiln used to produce lime, and from that, mortar, for construction. It consisted of a two-story barrel-shaped structure made of heat-resistant square stones: the top was filled with limestone, while the bottom was continuously stoked, day and night, for 6-8 days. Lime was obtained from the rock, which was baked at 900°C, crumbled, and treated with water.
