Near the church of Wellen you will find this neo-Gothic chapel from 1899. It is the only remnant of a widely known boarding school complex of the Ursuline congregation. The restored and beautiful chapel is used for civil weddings.

The Ursuline sisters settled in Wellen in 1851 from the mother house in Tildonk. They founded a school and in 1899 also a convent with a boarding school. In that year the neo-Gothic Ursuline chapel was also built. From 1975 the convent buildings were gradually demolished. What remained was purchased by the municipality in 1986. Finally only the chapel was spared. Neo-Gothic paintings have been preserved in the chapel. There are also stained glass windows and the neo-Gothic altars are still present. On the roof there is a very pointed roof turret.
