This dilapidated building is the Heinzkyll Mill. In 1636, Hans Müller lived at the Heinzkyll Mill. He owned a donkey and two cows. A century and a half later, in 1789, the mill is recorded as belonging to the Count of Kesselstatt. However, it had to pay an annual rent to the Trier Abbey of St. Irminen for the water rights. In 1851, 20 people lived at the Heinzkyll Mill; by 1885, only six remained. The mill was in operation until just before the First World War. Source: kulturdb.de/einobjekt.php?id=12842
