Steep climb going up a residential street heading towards Clifton, Bristol. Great alternative to going through busy Ashton Court on the weekends. The climb is shorted than Ashton Court but a fair bit steeper.

Part of the Tour of Britain Stage 3 route in 2018. It's steep at the bottom ( 15+% ish) but hold tight and it flattens off for a while past the pub, and then you have the final section which is steep again. If you want to avoid the first steep bit, go up Keedwell hill instead and pop up after the steep bit.

Bit of a sucker punch to begin with! No gradient signs at the bottom but my computer reckoned it was about 16% average for at least the first 100m. I opted to get off the bike and breathe (being the fat bloke at the back of the group rides) when I got to the junction of Keedwell hill, but if you can push on! Levels out to dead flat just past the pub on the corner and gives you time to rest, before a much gentler climb for the last bit. Riden on Friday night about 19:00, light traffic but even a thumbs up and a cheer from a passing van driver!

It’s Steep and great fun if you like that sort of thing. But you have to take on a hill if you want to get to Leigh Woods/Clifton. The other options are Ashton Court if you don’t mind dodging a few dogs or the B3128 on a quiet day. The B3129 to the West is IMO dangerous (steep, convoluted, narrow, lots of cars).

Steep! and quite narrow at the top if you've got cars coming up the other way
