The Catholic parish church of St. Apollonia is located in the middle of the village. The church building had to be almost completely rebuilt after the last war. As early as 1734, the village, which was then part of the parish of Bergstein, received permission to build a branch church. In 1804, Großhau became its own parish. After a lightning strike in 1857, the church was rebuilt for the second time in 1862.
