For bicycle commuters, the new cycle path is a very good solution for a relaxed ride from Bad Zwischenahn to Oldenburg and back

With the cycle path to Oldenburg via Specken, Kayhausen, Kayhauserfeld, Petersfehn I and II, Bloh, Kleefeld, Friedrichsfehn and Wildenloh, the municipality of Bad Zwischenahn is making a contribution to the transport transition in rural areas. From June 2022 to December 2023, the municipality of Bad Zwischenahn built a cycle path that leads from Lake Zwischenahn to Oldenburg. The farming communities of Specken, Kayhausen, Kayhauserfeld, Petersfehn I and II, Bloh, Kleefeld, Friedrichsfehn and Wildenloh will be connected. The aim is for as many people as possible who travel by car between Bad Zwischenahn and Oldenburg or the surrounding farming communities to switch to cycling. According to the municipality of Bad Zwischenahn, up to 100 tons of CO2 can be saved per year. The new cycle path is intended to make commuter and school traffic safer and more comfortable in particular. In addition, the municipality of Bad Zwischenahn is planning further new cycle connections.
