Canet de Mar is a beautiful coastal municipality that has doubled its population in just over two years due to the expansion of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. Today many of its 15,000 inhabitants are dedicated to tourism, agriculture (Maresme strawberries, almond trees, vineyards, olive trees, floriculture, etc.) or the textile industry. Curiously, here is the only university school in Spain that offers technical engineering studies in knitting fabrics.
