The village of Odeceixe, of medieval origin and linked to the Order of Santiago, owes its name to the river Seixe (from the Arabic Wad Seixe) which flows serenely next to the village and shapes its identity.

Here at the entrance, an impressive mural by the artist OzeArv welcomes you: more than 100 meters of color that celebrate biodiversity and the local soul. Among otters, hares and birds, symbolic figures also appear: a woman who looks at the horizon with hope, foxes that evoke youth and cunning, and a fisherman who faces the sea as a promise of the future.
