This cathedral is the symbol of the city of Valdobbiadene, famous for its Prosecco, and the most important Catholic place of worship, located right in the main square, Piazza Marconi.
Inside the cathedral are valuable works of art. Examples include the altarpiece of the Assumption of the Virgin by Beccaruzzi and the Virgin and Saints Sebastian and Rocco by Paris Bordon.
The first mention dates back to 1297, but the current cathedral was built between 1790 and 1799, while the 70 meter high bell tower was built between 1743 and 1767.
