The Rimbach Fulda Mill from the early 19th century was expanded in 1923 with a modern system for generating electricity from the water power of the Fulda. The hydroelectric plant is housed in a plastered rectangular building with a flat gable roof, the gable front facing the street "with the entrance door from the time of construction that takes on classicist forms ... almost takes on the character of a temple front" (Monument Topography). The mill with the mill ditch, the water regulation systems and the hydroelectric plant are cultural monuments because they document "both the beginning of modern energy production and its roots in traditional milling".
