The dam is the Eiserbach Dam, completed in 1959 and built directly south of Rurberg. The 21 m high, 235 m long, and 7.5 m wide dam at its crest is an earth dam with a clay lining and a capacity of 90,000 m³. When the Rur Reservoir is high, it is also dammed on its upstream side.
From here, you have a fantastic view of the Eiserbachsee natural outdoor swimming pool and the Rursee.
