The Palatinate Forest is the largest contiguous forest area in Germany. Lynx, capercaillie, ravens and other animals that can be observed here indicate an intact ecosystem.
The Palatinate Forest is very reminiscent of the Appalachians and Black Mountains in the USA.
Absolutely recommended for hiking!
