Clifden Caves is a fascinating cave system in New Zealand, renowned for its stunning rock formations and glowworms. The cave is approximately 1 km long and offers a unique experience for visitors. The tour takes about 1-2 hours and is suitable for visitors with a moderate level of fitness.
The cave itself is narrow and requires some crawling and crossing cold pools and a deeper pool. Sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing are essential. A flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries is also necessary.
