The Gremminer Bridge, or the “Blue Wonder” bridge in Hänichen’s local dialect, is the connection between the town and Gremminer Lake. After the end of brown coal mining, an open-cast lake was created here. From the town balcony you can enjoy a wonderful view over the lake, across to Ferropolis, the “city of iron” with its five giants made of 7,000 tons of steel. If you feel like it, you can enjoy a variety of impressions of nature and man-made landscapes on the way around the lake. It is also an ideal starting point for a bike tour on the International Cycle Route R1. The town balcony is also an invitation to simply linger
