Already in 1856 the Sprakener mill was built by the full-time master Carsten Niebuhr. By wind power was ground in the octagonal, three-story gallery dutchman until about 1948, with motor power, the commercial use, however, until 1960.

The Sprakener Mühle was built by the Vollmeier Carsten Niebuhr as early as 1856. The octagonal, three-story gallery Dutchman was milled using wind power until around 1948, but commercial use continued using engine power until 1960.
Today the mill is no longer functional. Only remnants of the three grinding stages have been preserved. The Sprakener Mühle is the only mill in the Bruchhausen-Vilsen community that has a brewing mechanism with which the mill head is turned into the wind.
