The ceramic artist, who has long been associated with the Staatliche Majolika Manufaktur Karlsruhe, erected her stele in the Rosengarten-Carré in the southeast of the city in 2013. It consists of seven partial forms that come together to form a column approximately 3.5 m high. The growth and flower shape of the rose are reproduced in a simplified line drawing in blue, orange and violet. The meandering, colorful traces of movement are complemented by the most famous statement by the American writer and art collector Gertrude Stein: 'A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose'.
