Beautifully preserved and restored peace of Serbian cultural heritage.
One of the greatest Serbian families, Nenadović, originates from here. Prota Mateja Nenadović was born here and rests forever beside the church. Their original old house was restored and turned in to the museum.
Old school building, built in 1836 by Nenadović family, was restored in to the museum of Serbian alfabet and schooling.
Another great person lived here, Desanka Maksimović, the greatest Serbian (in my opinion much wider) poet of the 20th century.
Newer school building, where her father was teacher, has been made in to the museum dedicated to her life and work. Please read some of her work, it's life changing.
