It was built around 1730 AD and is named after the large crucifix inside the church. As far as I know, it is one of the largest in Germany.

Also worth seeing is the historic gas pump south of the church.

Unfortunately, it is on a somewhat busier road. My recommendation is to go down the hill towards Erft after the visit. Or take Kolpingstrasse into the fields.
