Hiking
The path leads to the glacier along the river.
The part of the route away from the river is challenging with constant climbs and descents.
Caution is particularly important on the glacier: in summer the ground can be deceptive due to dirt and rubble,
so that you run the risk of stepping on glacier ice without noticing it.
One wrong step can quickly lead to an unpleasant fall.
Make sure you avoid getting too close to the edge of the glacier - a single misstep could be your last hike.

Hiking
This tour leads partly over unpaved scree areas and a small tributary of the river. I strongly recommend sturdy hiking boots with Gore-Tex that are waterproof. This route is definitely not suitable for street shoes or sneakers. Don't forget to take enough water with you. Plan for the hike to take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Even in summer, the wind can make it quite cold in places, so something light to put on is recommended. If there is no wind, however, annoying mosquitoes could appear, so you should also be prepared for that.
