This is a quick hike that showcases the best of central Louisiana. The trail is generally well-marked, with a few exceptions.
Between mile four and six, the markings could use some improvement. The directions suggest going left toward the lookout, but instead, take a hard right that nearly circles back

This was a great little trail. Starting from the Vistors Center, I turned right and went down the hill. At the bottom, I turned right again and completed the loop in a counterclockwise direction. You can run alongside the shallow creek or up on the banks, but the creek only lasts for about half a mile
