The tabernacle-like, baroque "Mühlberg Chapel" made of sandstone has stood on the Mühlberg outside the former city wall since 1745. In 1912, the three sides of the originally open chapel were walled up. Inside is the miraculous image of the Schoenstatt Madonna. Until the 1950s, there was a painting of the Mount of Olives inside. The chapel was intended to be part of a Stations of the Cross that was never completed. It is probably the successor building to the former St. Sebastian Chapel.
