Slovenian Square with sculptures by Lojze Dolinar, Kranj
During the Yugoslavian monarchy, this square was named after Crown Prince Peter, then after the war it was called Freedom Park, from 1961 Revolution Square and finally since 1991 it has borne the name of independent Slovenia. To the east of it is the former People's and later Workers' Community Hall, to the west is the Gymnasium and to the north is the city administration building.
The statues on the square are works by Lojze Dolinar and the relief of Kranj on the northern edge was created by Stane Kolman for visitors to the city, with its help even blind and visually impaired people can touch a map of the place.
