In 1884, the manufacturer Brothers & Co. erected a tall cast-iron lighthouse and two harbor lights on the pier. The two harbor lights shine today, as they did then, at the entrance to Stavoren's old harbor. In 1999, the lighthouse and its accompanying harbor lights were declared a cultural monument. The lighthouse was completely renovated in 2001.
The lighthouse is still in operation today. Tours are not possible, but it can be clearly seen from the old harbor.
