Hines Road (09S15) is an 11-mile, sandy, double track road out to Papoose Flat, a unique, remote high-desert flat dotted with random granite hodoos and great views of the Sierra Nevadas. From the Big Pine-Death Valley Road the road climbs for about 5 miles before descending into Papoose Flat. You can link up with 36E404, another double track road, to make a nice loop from Papoose Flat around Andrews Mountain. Although this is not a technical trail, its remote-feeling and rugged with great views of the Sierras.
