The name "Judas House" was given to the house because several generations played the role of Judas in the Passion Play. This house is one of the first bourgeois houses whose facade was painted with frescoes. Built in the first half of the 18th century, frescoes by Franz Seraph Zwinck were painted around 1780.

"Judas House" - The merchant Sebastian Wider owned this house until his death in 1793 (renovated and restored in 1988). In 1848 Matthäus Zwink, a grandson of the "Lüftlmaler", took it over from the woodcarver Jakob Erhard. Johann Zwink (1851 - 1932), a painter like his father, painted the facade after 1910. He played "Judas" in the Passion Play in 1890, 1900 and 1910; his son Hans did the same in 1930 and 1934.
