Beautiful landscape in the Murnauer Moor.
Not the perfect bike path, but a very beautiful landscape with mountain views.

Oha, we thought, we drive here just a bit through nature, but then we were surprised - smells, noises and yet a good bike path - it is worth to take a short turn left or right at the few possible places and dive deeper into the moss !

On approximately 4,200 hectares, bogs, wet meadows and special sections of forest combine to form a unique landscape. The Murnauer Moos is unique in Central Europe in terms of its size and unity, its landscape forms as well as its flora and fauna.
The moss can be hiked on a 12 km long moss trail in a good 3½ hours with a manageable height difference. The hike mostly leads along wide paved paths. The so-called Bohlenweg (pedestrian only) leads through the Lange Filze. There are also interesting exploration tours and further passages to Grafenaschau, Eschenlohe or Ohlstadt by bike. With every kilometer, the view of the Ester Mountains and above all the view of the high Wetterstein massif with the Zugspitze becomes immense.
