The Markneukirchen Music School was founded in 1834. It is therefore considered one of the oldest musical training institutions in Germany. The city of Markneukirchen extensively renovated the building between 2017 and 2021. This resulted in bright, friendly and modern classrooms on the basement and upper floors. A concert hall, which was used as a courtroom in the 19th century, enables smaller concerts and other in-school events to be held.
