Situated in front of the stone seat at Cringle End, the plate is dedicated to Alec Falconer, a founder member of the Middlesbrough Rambling Club and campaigner (1884-1968). According to the plate, it is possible to see as far as Cross Fell and the Penshaw Monument. The view of the Cleveland plain from here is spectacular.
