Hiking
This is what the small town of Vimmerby looked like when Astrid Lindgren grew up here at the beginning of the last century. Many of her books feature small-town idylls inspired by the Vimmerby of her childhood. Here you can find the shop where Pippi bought 18 kilos of sweets, the small alley Båtsmansbacken where Kalle Blomquist snuck around, the mayor's house - Borgmästargården - where Emil rode into on his horse Lukas during a party, and the market square where Polly Patent sold her peppermints.
